Refund Policy

Cancellations and Refunds Policy

1.  Fees and Transparency
All examination fees are clearly published on our website in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Fees are inclusive of the applicable examination board entry fees unless otherwise stated.

2.  Formation of Contract and Examination Entries
A legally binding contract is formed upon completion of the registration form and receipt of full payment. Upon formation of the contract, the Centre shall submit the candidate’s examination entry to the relevant awarding body.

3.  Payment Terms
Examination entries will not be processed until payment has been received in full. Payments may be made by debit or credit card via our website or in cash at our examination office. Cheque payments are not accepted.

4.  Withdrawals and Refunds – Written Examination Subjects
For Functional Skills, IGCSEs, GCSEs, AS Levels and A Levels:

Withdrawal requests submitted before the awarding body’s first entry deadline may be eligible for a refund, subject to a £60 administrative fee per subject.

Withdrawal requests submitted after the awarding body’s first entry deadline shall not be eligible for any refund under any circumstances. We are unable to defer exams to another exam series.

These terms reflect costs incurred and services performed in accordance with Section 49 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

5.  Practical Assessments and Endorsements
For A Level Practical Endorsements and GCSE practical activities, a minimum of 30 days’ written notice is required for any cancellation or request to reschedule practical dates. Once practical dates have been confirmed, no cancellations, refunds, or date changes will be permitted.

6.  Non‑Examined Assessment (NEA) Coursework
Subjects that include Non‑Examined Assessment (NEA) coursework are non‑refundable. Upon booking, a teacher is assigned to facilitate coursework delivery, marking and authentication, and the service is deemed to have commenced.

7.  Statutory Right to Cancel (Cooling‑Off Period)
In accordance with Regulation 28(1)(h) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the statutory cooling‑off period does not apply to examination bookings.

By submitting an examination booking, the candidate acknowledges that cancellation rights are limited to those set out in this policy.

8.  Force Majeure
The Centre shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, fire, flood, epidemic or pandemic, industrial action, civil unrest, war, acts of terrorism, government restrictions, failure of utilities, adverse weather conditions, or decisions made by examination boards or regulatory authorities (“Force Majeure Events”).

In the event of a Force Majeure Event, the Centre reserves the right to amend examination arrangements, reschedule assessments, or cancel services where necessary. Where services cannot be reasonably provided due to a Force Majeure Event, refunds shall be considered only where and to the extent permitted by the relevant examination board and applicable law.
